Quiet day – Sent Alyce Claire her two dresses she had packed in my bag. Wrote her, Mary Jo, and the Mex train official in El Paso. Saw Harry M. Says Roswell is damp but reports have been greatly exaggerated!

Hope Harry got to Roswell ! Floods have been 6 ft all over Roswell! Wrote Carsey, Lenore and the School Supt at Hobbs, N. Mex! Am playing “tired horse” today, too.

Left Midland about 9:40 -Train was late because of rains. Carsey rode as far as Odessa (20 miles) with me and I hated to see him leave – The rest of the trip was slow and boring! Got home about 2:30 and did nothing except wash a few things for Sunday. Dorothy Monk and Harry Mulray plan to goto Roswell tomorrow and return

Woke up about 9:30 – Slept at Mrs. Burl Greyton’s at the camp – Carsey came over and we ate lunch there and left for Midland. Fairly good road. Saw films at Ben’s and saw a show. Saw Toolen’s at supper. Told them to tell Dad I’d be home tomorrow. Ben’s children are darlings. Named for their parents , They are Bennie and Little Dorothy

Went to Brownsfield about middle of morning. Lovely ride – Everybody has had lots of rain. Ate lunch in Brownsfield and cleaned up. Carsey came for me at 6. Went to Lubbock to “look around” and eat supper. Rode down to camp. Got there at 2 a.m. Carsey is as grand as I’ve ever known him and seems to be glad I came.

Left for Tatum about 2 P.M. after fooling around and getting everyone paid up! Charlotte Klyng went with us to Tatum to visit her mother from there. We stayed with Joyce – Went out to Mr. Teague’s ranch with Levron Montieth and some nut who was drunk (?) but we didn’t know it till later

Carsey called me from Andrews about going home by there. I’ve decided to go to Broomsfield with Alyce Claire and have him come up there and take me to Midland to see Ben! I wanted to tallk to him so badly but was afraid to talk over 3 min-
