Bought blue dress at Merritts and slip for $10.  Send Coca Cola and Doubleday Doran (El Eco) bills of $1 and $4 resp.  Very wet and cold weather.  Alyce Claire insists that Carsey was here today in a company car and that he could stay only 30 minutes or so. He never did find me because we went several places in town. Seems too much like imagination that he was here at all.   Surely hated to miss him!

The debate over gun control begins in Washington D.C after NRA Secretary -Treasurer C. B Lister called for prohibiting the private sale of a “freak” class of weapon – the Magnum Handgun.
