Live Entertainment and Music on Television is brought to life at the NBC RCA building in New York.

Franco ordered a halt to the executions of Basque priests who were considered supporters of the Republic.

Richard S. Lambert won his defamation case and was awarded £7,500 by the jury.

Returned Markhauls car, which we used for the trip, washed, greased and full of gas, besides giving Mr. M 3 pairs of sox.  Nize man!

In large rounded sans-serif font, the lower-case word "one" is written in white on a red background. To the left in smaller letters, the letters "BBC" in solid white squares is written; the tops of the two words are aligned.

Started home about 9:30 – Picked up Charlotte at Dick and Thelma’s. Stopped at Marioite to see Gomez and at Estancia for lunch with Mrs. Annie Dean – Lovely people.  Got home before seven

Speaking to a crowd in Milan, Benito Mussolini coins the name “Axis” for Italy and its allies when he states that the “line between Rome and Berlin is not a partition but rather an axis around which all European states…can also collaborate.”

General meeting – Hoped to hear Dr. Zimmerman on the Quarter-Centennial but Dr. Hewitt gave it instead.  Then Gov. Tingley read a talk on the “Future of Ed in New Mex”  but he doesn’t say much of anything.  Big disappointment.  I saw “Ladies in Love” in afternoon. Alyce C and I saw “San Francisco” in the evening
