Thursday December 6, 1934

Letter from Dit – She wants my green tafetta. Has that dress had a History!  Took a letter to Fannie O. Butler as a Notary Public and mailed it to Gallup.  Great hopes!  Went to choir practice – then to a reception for the new preachers.  Left with Velma to go to the show and saw “Pursuit of Happines”  – Fair.  Went to Shorty Hood’s and met Pete. They walked home with me.  Nize people. Pete and Velma!

Red Terror in Russia – some report more than 200, including women and children, were shot.   This was just the beginning of Stalin’s Great Purge  -political repression – which lasted until 1940.
