Thursday January 3, 1935

(This is an entry from the journal entitled Mexico Summer written by Elizabeth Lancaster Carsey 80-years-ago.  Click here to read more)

Lost my clock in the P.O. I m going to lose my head in there someday! No “upsetting” mail there either.  After choir practice I played “La Mancornadora” et al on the organ and Bernard took me to Kipling’s for hot chocolate and I heard all about Christmas – Surely was disappointed in not seeing Roberta.  He invited me to drive to Artesia Sunday –

Here’s what else was happening 80-years-ago today:

The first session of the 74th Congress Jan 3, 1935 – Aug 26, 1935.  The Trial of the Century is underway and the prosecution calls its first witness.
