Began to get hot and dusty at Chihuahua.  Arrived two hours late in Juarez.  had met a mining engineer and the newspaperman Atamiraus on the train- the latter ate a whole chicken and ten eggs for supper!!! From Juarez I went to the Union Depot and waited just a little for the Van Horn train. Betty went to find Alfred. the day coach was a swanky light green air-conditioned car that was gorgeous after the Chihuahua-Juarez trip.
