Saturday April 20, 1935

At 4 there was a faculty barbecue at the Fair Grounds.  We were entertained by the Board.  The band gave us a concert.  At night we surprised Bernard by going out. Twas his birthday – Velma, Dwight, Bess, Prentess, Alyce Claire and I went out. Pete and Velma couldn’t, Wilma is visiting Velma.

Went to dinner bridge party given by Mrs. Tammi Hubbard for about 4 tables. Good lunch, good time and I won First prize.  A darling battle of Evening in Paris Perfume  – Surely Thrilled.  Got some white shoes.
