Saturday February 9, 1935

(This is an entry from the journal entitled Mexico Summer written by Elizabeth Lancaster Carsey 80-years-ago.  Click here to read more)

Took “In a Monastery Garden” and “In Luxembourg Gardens” to the church to practice.  Ate lunch with Burdettes.  She had some advice to give about getting married!!! A headache prevented my seeing a wrestling match at the Institute or spending the night with Mrs. Leroy Brown!  Bernard called – He can say the most tactless things!!

Here’s what else was happening 80-years-ago today:

A new Saturday Evening Post.

Nikola Tesla, the father of radio-television, power induction, robots and the cosmic ray,   publishes an article predicting a machine that will end all war. The trial of the Century comes to a close. Both sides rest their case.
