Saturday October 6, 1934

Practiced at Miss Garrett’s and she and I had lunch at Mrs. Martens. Had tacos, sopa de fideo.  The Fair was from Wednesday morning on – We got out Wednesday and Friday morning for the parade.  Did not go back Friday afternoon-  Jean Glover was queen of Roswell by riding in the winning float in the first parade.   Telegram from Jaimie yesterday. Just noway! Maybe I’ll get used to it!

Here’s what else was happening 80-years-ago today:

Game 4 of the World Series.  It was played at  Sportsman’s Park III with 37, 492 in attendance.   Final score: Tigers 10 Cardinals 4.   Series is tied 2-2.
