Played morning and evening.  Saw Pauline Rumberg.  Sam left early this A.M.  (about 6:45)

Here’s what else was happening 80-years-ago today:

 

Turkey, Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan signed a non-aggression pact.

Reichminister of Church Affairs Hanns Kerrl decreed that all pastors must submit pastoral letters to the government for approval.

Slept late again but was up by 10!  Cleaned my room – washed, shopped, practiced for tomorrow and had my hair fixed.  Alyce Claire’s friend, Mrs. De Ette Bartlett with her boy Charles were here and ate lunch with us.

A new Saturday Evening Post and New Yorker.

To mark the 17th anniversary of the founding of Yugoslavia, King Peter II declared an amnesty for 1,200 political prisoners.

Army defeated Navy 28-6 at the Army–Navy Game at Franklin Field in Philadelphia.
