Letter from Dad – the sweetest I have ever received!  I hope I never lose it.  I’ve been able to do nothing all day since classes except pace the floor!  Dad says, if I’m not going to get my degree why finish now? Why not go home? and if the course weren’t so near over (over and done) I would!

Here’s what else was happening 80-years-ago

The sale of the British newspaper The Morning Post to the rival Daily Telegraph was announced. The Post was discontinued after 165 years in print and absorbed into the Telegraph.
