Alyce Claire bought a baby cap and some booties.  We went over to Velma’s and Pete’s.   Maureen was capped last week, the first one in her class and her theme was to be read as the best!  Also, Evelyn was elected Sec’y of Rainbow! Honors! Got a letter fron Earl Dawson, 1013 W. Mistletoe, Saw Antonio. Surely was glad. I don’t know that I told you that the night (or morning) I bought my ticket to comeback here, I saw Erle’s name on the Captain Hotel register.  I wrote here a not and this is her answer – She is mad at Carsey too for not writing-

Howard Hughes set a new transcontinental flight record, completing a non-stop flight from Los Angeles to Newark, New Jersey in 9 hours 27 minutes 10 seconds.

An American Airlines passenger plane crashed in Goodwin, Arkansas, killing all 17 aboard. The cause of the crash was never determined.
