Woke up this morning to the sound of rain!   Now (2:00) it is snowing and has been since about 10:30 this morning.  Hope it keeps up all day.  Everybody is thrilled over it!

Here’s what else was happening 80-years-ago today:

A teen shoveling snow in  uptown New York City finds an alligator in the sewer. The first streamlined electric railroad engine begins service.

Wild weather in Texas, a tornado claims 12 lives.
