Have just listened to “Cibony” (?) It always reminds me of the Regis, Mexico City. Had an awful dust storm last night. Everything coated today. Went to a Japanese Tea given by the Beginner’s Dept. I played awhile for them. Everything was decorated a’la Japanese, by Willie Russel and very effective. Bernard was supposed to call but he didn’t so I suppose he will offer the excuse again that he is sick! That one is about worn out even if it’s true. Wrote Mrs. Gates (still sounds funny to say or write that)* and Mrs. Berkness.
*Mrs. Gates is her younger sister Ditty who just got married at Christmas.
Here’s what else was happening 80-years-ago today:
Thousands migrate to California fleeing from the drought.
The Pan American Clipper lands in Hawaii.
