Heard Utica Jubilee Singers (negro) at the Baptist church – Same that I heard in Vegas. Quite good. Went to Velma’s – Met Claudine, (Jersie Belle’s kin who married Don Carver) Don and got to bid them and Wilma goodbye.  After church we got an ice cream cone and rode until the dust drove us home –

An earthquake in taiwan:

The 1935 Hsinchu-Taichung earthquake was a magnitude 7.1  and is known as the deadliest earthquake in Taiwan’s history.
