Tenayuca

Have thought of Arnold all day wondering how they fared on the trip. I guess they got away because Arnold would have called me – He is to wire from the American side when they have crossed. Went with Jean on a dinky “troncito” to Tenayuca to see a pyramid. Enjoyed the trip and found the caretaker archaeologist there to be young and very good-looking. He came back with us on the caurion. A money order for $5 (17.85)Mexico City) was waiting for me from Jaime last night when I came up. Can’t decide why he sent it.  Dad wrote he had had another attack of appendicitis! Wrote Dad, Ty-Ty and Diantha about Carsey and Me.  Started one to Carsey.

Here’s what else was happening 80-years-ago today:

A train derailment in the township of Bihta in BiharBritish India killed 107 people

A new New Yorker and Saturday Evening Post.

It was standing room only as over 30,000 fans crowd the 22,000-seat Wrigley Field for a celebrity charity baseball game for Mt. Sinai Hospital.
