Fooled around all day and had a shower at Mrs. Wheat’s for me from everyone in Van Horn. Arnold had to make a speech too! Surely was a lovely affair with Halloween decoration and a golden pumpkin coach brought in about 50 gifts!

The Australian Labour Party picked up 11 seats in the House of Representatives and 13 in the Senate, but the incumbent United Australia Party led by Prime Minister Joseph Lyons continued to stay in power with the help of its coalition partner the Country Party.
