Slept Late – 1st day of August, My last month here! I can hardly wait for the next 18 days to pass until I meet my one and only in San Antonio. Jean went to a bullfight with Crosby Somebody while I stayed home and knitted! Sure do sound domestic. Went to the opera “Manon’ at Night” the leading lady was very good, but the poor tenor could hardly be heard. Vincent Rousseau whom we met on the train came and sat with us or I’d have been bored to tears. Told us many interesting items of his visit here so far. He was down to his last 3 centavos! When we got home I found I’d left the key in my room so we had to get Mr. Ruiz out of bed to let us in. Same on us!
Here’s what else was happening 80-years-ago today
