Told the family on a card what I had learned.  Yesterday I had a letter from Washington about translator’s position in Civil Service.  I’ve sent in a card to be notified of an examination.  Mrs. Mulroy ate supper with us at the Cafeteria.  The 3 of us saw “Keeper of the Bees” later .  Practiced some shorthand but I am no shark at it.  Saw Bernard at the show.

The R.P. Resor was built in 1935 by Federal Ship Building Co. in Kearney, New Jersey, she was launched on Saturday, November 13, 1935.  She was sunk by a German Submarine in 1942.   A video of the wreck was recorded 77 years later in 2012.
