Here’s what else was happening 80-years-ago today:

Elvis Aron Presley, the King of Rock-n-Roll, was born today.

The U.S. budget is set and it is in the red:  $8,520,413,609 in 1935 is about $148,184,617,251.03 today.  In 2014 the U.S. spent approximately $3.8 trillion.     The Lindbergh trial continues, the child’s nanny takes the stand.
